Support Services

  • We work collaboratively with people to identify their goals and develop a plan of action to achieve them. Whether it's improving self-esteem, managing stress, or making life transitions, we provide guidance and support to help people set realistic and achievable goals and develop strategies to work towards them.

  • We offer empathetic listening, validation, and emotional support to people as they navigate life's challenges and transitions. Through compassionate counseling and validation of their experiences, we help people feel understood, supported, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

  • We teach practical coping skills and strategies to manage stress, regulate emotions, and improve interpersonal relationships. Whether it's learning relaxation techniques, assertiveness skills, or effective communication strategies, we empower people with the tools they need to navigate life's ups and downs more effectively.

  • We provide people with information and resources to help them better understand themselves, their relationships, and their mental health. Through psychoeducation, people gain insight into their thoughts and behaviors, learn about healthy coping mechanisms, and develop a greater sense of self-awareness and empowerment.

  • We advocate on behalf of people and provide referrals to other support services and resources in the community, such as support groups, medical providers, or social services. By connecting people with additional support networks and resources, we help them access the comprehensive care and assistance they need to thrive.

 FAQ’s

  • Therapy is a valuable tool that can benefit everyone, regardless of your current mental health status. It offers opportunities for self-discovery, emotional resilience, improved relationships, goal achievement, and assistance during life transitions. Therapy provides a safe space to explore emotions, gain insights, and develop coping strategies to navigate life’s challenges.

  • The goal of our first appointment is to get to know each other and share information. This appointment may be longer than your other appointments. You want to make sure that the counseling relationship is a good fit for you so be sure to “interview” your counselor. During this time your counselor will be asking you questions to get to know more about you and what brought you to LD Counseling & Associates.

  • Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and scheduled weekly, especially in the beginning. Your counselor will discuss this during your first session.

  • The length of therapy is dependent on many factors, including your goals, how frequently and consistently you attend sessions, your motivation for change, and the type of concerns you are addressing in therapy.

  • LD Counseling & Associates accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Aetna, Cigna, United and Oxford insurance plans. We also offer the option to pay for services out-of-pocket.

  • Individual psychotherapy sessions range from $130 to $150 per 50 minute session.

  • The consultation call is a short meeting to help you determine if the therapist would be a good fit for you. It also allows the therapist an opportunity to get a sense of what your presenting concerns are and to make sure they feel they can completely treat you. Typically, the call will last about 15-20 minutes.
